Reclaiming Wholeness

Counselling allows us to pause at the chapter we are in, to inhale and uncover who we are at our most authentic level. Together we will work to honour the life you have lived, and level the ground in approach for the next chapter to unfold.

We'll explore emotions, perceptions, and beliefs alongside your orientation to the world around you. Using meaning and intention we will uncover what really matters along the way, building a foundation for the future that holds more potential, creativity and wholeness.

I work with clients on an existential, experiential, and relational level to help create a meaningful and honest path forward into their life.

Holistic Intervention:

Drawing from various counselling and therapeutic traditions, issues and problems are approached through a compassionate, mindfulness centred lens. By bringing attention and care to our history, we learn to live inside of our life, developing an understanding of what it is inside of us that wants to be fully lived.

I offer a parts work model to help understand the many facets of who we are. This can include inner child work, shadow work, constellations work, and internal family systems.

Somatic Approach:

Somatic awareness helps us stay present to ourselves and to our relations. Together we can explore body awareness exercises, movement, somatic tracking and meditations to regulate the nervous system.

Embodied Shadow Work:

If you're feeling stuck in a pattern, behaviour, or a place that you feel you've been before, likely it is your shadow showing up. The shadow is a representation of something that lives in us that longs to be seen, yet has long been hidden from us. Our shadows show up in conflicts, in relationships, in our work, and in our dreams.

Shadow work is about acknowledging the reality of our lived life and working towards reclaiming all of us, leaving no parts behind. Working under the pretence of becoming more whole, we work towards the reclamation of long abandoned parts, freeing up energy and life force to meet the complexity of our unfolding lives ahead.

"Wholeness does not mean perfection: it means embracing brokenness as an integral part of life."

Parker Palmer, Author, from "A Hidden Wholeness"

Dream Work:

Carl Jung said that dreams are a way for the unconscious mind to communicate with the conscious mind. Dreams can be an access point to deep parts of ourselves that would otherwise remain hidden.

Emotional Literacy:

Learn to live with, rather than from our emotions. Our emotions offer direction for our passion, integrity, and relationship. As we build a relationship to them we unlock more potential for presence.

I work with the full spectrum of human experience including but not limited to: anger, grief, pain, joy, fear, love, eroticism and spirituality.

"These are the words we dimly hear:

You, sent out beyond your recall, go to the limits of your longing.

Embody me. Flare up like a flame and make big shadows I can move in.

Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror. Just keep going.

No feeling is final. Don’t let yourself lose me.

Nearby is the country they call life.

You will know it by its seriousness.

Give me your hand.”

- Rilke
