All of you belongs.
Counselling allows us to pause at the chapter we are in, to inhale and uncover who we are at our most authentic level. Together we will work to honour the life you have been given, the challenges included, and level the ground in approach for the next chapter to unfold.
We'll explore emotions, perceptions, and beliefs alongside your orientation to the world. Using meaning and intention we will find what really matters along the way towards building a future that holds more potential, creativity and wholeness.
Drawing from various counselling and therapeutic traditions, issues and problems are approached through a compassionate, mindfulness centred lens. When we bring attention and care to our history, we can learn to live inside of our life and develop understanding of what it is inside of us that wants to be fully lived.
I offer a parts work model to help understand the many facets of who we are. This can include inner child work, shadow work and internal family systems.
Somatic awareness helps us stay present to ourselves and to our relations. Together we can explore body awareness exercises, somatic tracking and meditations to regulate the nervous system.
Learn to live with, rather than from our emotions. Our emotions offer direction for our passion, integrity, and relationship. As we build a relationship to them we unlock more potential for presence.
I work with the full spectrum of human experience including but not limited to: anger, grief, pain, joy, fear, love, eroticism and spirituality.
Coaching: Reuniting With Your Authenticity
If counselling intervention is not your interest I also provide coaching to support the re-discovery of what matters in your life, exploring through the lens of authenticity and authentic relationship.
Coaching can be helpful if you're hitting barriers in your work, family, relationships or community work and you would like help navigating your way through to a more authentic expression of yourself within these life areas.
Issues and topics that can be explored in counselling therapy:
"These are the words we dimly hear:
You, sent out beyond your recall, go to the limits of your longing.
Embody me. Flare up like a flame and make big shadows I can move in.
Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror. Just keep going.
No feeling is final. Don’t let yourself lose me.
Nearby is the country they call life.
You will know it by its seriousness.
Give me your hand.”
